I have always been a fan of the written word. Some of my fondest memories are of going to the library, and looking at all the stacks of books. I would then try to pick just a few to borrow. Reading takes us places where many of us will never go, Egypt, France, England, and even other planets. You get the idea. Lately, I have been reviewing books, and often get asked if I have a blog. Well, here it is. I will post books, my reviews, and show featured books. I want to help all the Indie Writers I have met, and those I will hopefully meet in the future. Not sure where this blog will take me. Let’s find out together π
Your first post should be from family. You go Debb! Looking forward to the βDebb notesβ so I get an Idea for my next read.
Awww, thank you cuz. Love you ! Hugs π
Nice. π Look forward to reading more.
Thank you π Lots to learn.
I’m liking this already Debb…. You go girl..
Thank you John π
I have very fond memories of going to libraries as a child. There was nothing more exciting than an armload of adventures yet to be discovered and not knowing which one I would read first. A library sale draws me like a bee – books I can keep! (The drawback to libraries is that you have to give the books back, sometimes a difficult parting. So a library sale is a wonderful thing). π
Me too ! Some of my best childhood memories are of time spent in my local libarary. Seeing ALL those books just waiting to be explored. I too like library sales π
Thank you for following my blog π
I just drifted off for an hour in 300 stories, you naughty girl. I should be working. I will return during free-time.
I am glad I could side-track you from your normal routine π
Thank you for visting my blog !
I love libraries! Probably my favorite public spaces to spend time. I am actually working on renovating a building to be the first “Contemplation Center” which is sort of like a library that is open 24/7 to the public to find a quiet place to practice contemplation (what I call prayer or meditation), as well as providing food and shelter to people in need within a community.
Good luck with your new blog. I do hope you get lots of traffic. Thanks so much for visiting my author blog…appreciate it. I do hope you will review an anthology I am involved with, in aid of The Princess Alice Hospice, Esher, Surrey UK…in memory of editor, writer and blogger, Maxine Clarke who has been a prolific supporter of writers all her life. I will email you about In A Word: Murder. Thanks, Jane.
Thank you! Very sweet of you π
Send me any reviews to my email:lavoiedebra@gmail.com
I’m looking forward to following your reads. Are you still active? I don’t see anything posted past November.
I just posted an interview, should be up. Thank you so much for reading π
Debb,
You brought me back to the days when my mom used to take me and my sister to the library close to home. We could never bring home enough books and I always wanted more than my limit. It was such a good feeling. Inviting and comfy. The books were always a great escape!
I am glad I helped you remember a happy time.
Deb! I see you on all my favorite authors posts on Facebook. Hello fellow book junkie!
Hello Shannon !
If I could go without sleep even more books could be readβΊ

Sweet π
I grew up in a small town in New Jersey. I used to walk to the center of town to go to the library. The tiny building was tucked in behind the town hall and the fire department. I think I wanted to go just to look at the building itself. It appeared as if it had come out of a fairy tale. The exterior walls were stuccoed and dark brown trim wrapped around the roof and the windows. I would spend countless hours sitting on the floor of the children’s section pulling one book at a time off the shelf and trying to decide what books I would bring home to read. It’s a very sweet memory indeed! Thanks for bringing it back to life.
Sounds fantastic – library lovers are high on my list of friendly people!
I got thrown out of our local library for trying to change my books too many times in a day. They would not believe I had really read them – but I had!
Hi Debb333 (i think, not a. Good morning for my eyes). Thank you for reading and following my blog. I could not get through the other way through wordpress, so I hope ths is o.k?
Evelyn
Hello Evelyn π yes, this is fine. Thank you for dropping by and visiting my blog.
Only in the last few years have I not gone to the local Library. I am too disabked now, even though it is ithin a normal persons walking distance. I used to love looking around this library ( since moving to the area some 40 years ago), to find my Golanz yellow covered scific anthologies, and other books. Now, of course, I treasure my Kindle, and the choices therein.
Evelyn
I understand your pain, I too have mobility issues. SO nice to see you again Evelyn π
Thank you too for taking the time to read my post and even to follow
My pleasure β€
I remember libraries, a huge part of my youth.
Mine too Lucinda β€
I’ve always been a bookworm so nice to see another book addict. Thanks for a great site and some useful information
Yes it is nice to know somebody actually reads π
I am a voracious reader, too. I teach kids – 13-14 year olds so I have focused my reading on adolescent literature – fiction and nonfiction, though most of my reading has been nonfiction this past year as I taught science and US history. It’s all relative. I have books, and books and books.
So happy to hear that you teach reading π With all the gadgets available, not many read at all.Thank you for stopping by, it’s appreciated. β€
I am happy to be connected. Thanks for all the great work you are doing. Look forward to reading more from you.
Ngobesing: glad you stopped by. Hope your holiday season is going well for you. Blessings…
Thank you friend. Faring on fairly well.
I replied to your Gmail π Congrats on the release of ANGAKOK!
Hey, Deb. You previously reviewed a book I wrote last year. My new book, ANGAKOK is due to come out in November. Can I sign up for a review? I understand you don’t have time before Christmas.
I would love to David π
Deb! ANGAKOK is finally here. A bit overdue, but then so was I. Your offer to do a review still stand? Hit me up via email: davealanmorrison@gmail.com (or the link here) and I’ll get it to you.
Nice start. Looking forward to seeing more.
