This book was written for overachievers in their religion but could also be used to help other issues in our lives. Elizabeth tells us about her history with religion and then goes through steps to help our own addictions. She does this with kindness and complete honesty. By the end of the book, I was taking her words to heart.
“Perhaps that word addict stops you. How can someone be addicted to God? How can a passionate spiritually ever be negative or harmful? You might even be worried that I’m some kind of undercover atheist trying to pry you away from a faith and a God you hold dear. “
I loved her writing style and found the book exciting. Just because I hate the physical church doesn’t mean I hate “The Church,” the one we all are together. Excellent book, you should read this one. Thank you Convergent Books and Blogging for Books; I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.
