Some goodbyes are cathartic—a good riddance to those things that hold us back. Some are bitter-sweet. It hurts to say the words, but we know the pain is only temporary, and we’ll soon be reunited.
Some goodbyes are forever. Those are the hardest to say.
At the height of the Cold War, a soldier and a spy begin a forbidden, unlikely affair that leads to a lifetime of love and loss, triumph and tragedy. Daniel and Cade’s ageless passion has forged an extraordinary family, and healed the hearts of those they love, but their journey was never easy.
From their first goodbye to their last, this is their story.
This book was written with class and shows a deep and unending love. I enjoyed the character development and the complex nature of their relationship. But, somehow, while reading, I could only feel their love and inability to forget each other no matter what the distance between them was. The action is never ending and is a great read. This book is not for anyone under 18, nor is it for someone who has issue with a MM lifestyle. This book can be read as a standalone. I recommend this book highly.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
D.L. Roan loves combining fantasy with the real world, giving her readers more than just a romantic story, but a true adventure in love. She writes about life: the good, bad, the silly things, the hard things, and everything in between. “If I can give someone a break from all the craziness that comes with real life, maybe even make them smile, or turn a bad day into a fantastic one, then it’s all been worth it.” ~ D.L. Roan
She’s a native Floridian, a rare breed in a land of snow birds. Scuba diving and hunting for shark’s teeth on the beach are two of her favorite things. She loves rainy days, thunderstorms and is an avid dog lover. Yes, size matters. She hopes to one day add a big ol’ floppy Great Dane to her family of hounds.
