Alouette’s Song by Andrew Jonathan Fine
Alouette’s Song is a well-written book. Andrew wrote a character so well that I could barely read on. The fact that Dotty was so alive for me pushed me to read more; never did love her character, but that’s okay!
This story is considered to be Science Fiction and the story has many themes. We have young love with almost insurmountable odds stacked against them, loved Margaret! There is interstellar travel where we meet a new race that I fell in love with. I even learned about Jewish customs; there is even a character with a fascinating medical diagnosis, no spoilers! Best of all are the people and their complicated relationships that we see up close and personal.
There are a few sex scenes but I felt they were handled beautifully; in my opinion they were loving and not an issue if you are easily offended by sexual scenes in books.
I would read a book from Andrew Jonathan Fine again.
Andrew would love to hear from you!
